Abstract
Iranian embroidery has a variety of stitches, and depending on the culture, customs and traditions of many Iranian tribes, they have been created during different times to decorate clothes and accessories. One of these types of embroidery is nam-nam-dozi, which is known as a type of tapestry embroidery with small beads. Despite the history of this art in Qazvin city, its current status in terms of active artists, education, application, sales market, distribution and consumption is worrying. For this purpose, this research, with the aim of knowing the damages caused to this art in the fields of application and education, seeks to answer the main question that what are the damages caused to the art of Qazvin embroidery and what are the solutions to fix or improve them? The data and information of this research were collected by documentary and field method of semi-structured interviews, which interviews were conducted with 11 experts and artists in this field. The method of selecting the samples is the targeted method of the index sample and the data analysis is done by the qualitative coding method (extraction of concepts and categories). The results of the research in the field of the pathology of the art of embroidery show that factors such as the change of people's taste and the change of generation, the time-consuming nature and the type of application of the art of embroidery are not encountered enough in the former devices. In the field of economy, related organizations do not support active artists in this field, and as a result, low sales and unprofitability of embroidery products have caused the threat and oblivion of this art. Failure to introduce and teach the art of embroidery to the new generation in the category of education has strengthened the threat of this art being unknown.
