An Introduction to The Similarities Between Fotovatnameh-ye Banyan and Fotovatjah-ye Chitsazan in Theoretical and Practical Principle

Abstract

In traditional arts in Iran, art was proposed in connection with Fotovatnameh. Also, in the past, art was closely related to guilds. The word guild was also usually used to express professional groups in Islamic society. each guild had a treatise that included the theoretical and practical principles related to the guild. In this regard, this research is faced with the question that What are the similarities between Fotovatnameh-ye Banayan and Fotovatnameh-ye Chitsazan in theoretical and practical principles? The aim of this research is to study and examine the similarities between Fotovatnameh-ye Banayan and Fotovatnameh-ye Chitsazan in theoretical and practical principles. The present research method is descriptive-analytical and documentary method is used to investigate the issue. In addition, the qualitative analysis method has been used to analyze the data. In order to answer the research question, an attempt has been made to examine the possibility of explaining the similarities in theoretical and practical principles and their alignment by studying the Fotovatnameh-ye Banayan and Fotovatnameh-ye Chitsazan. The result of the research indicates that the similarities between the Fotovatnameh-ye Banayan and Fotovatnameh-ye Chitsazan can be classified under the title of paying attention to the teacher, manners related to doing work, and tools and materials. Also, in both of them, a way and a method with ethics have been presented and they cannot be considered merely a kind of outward etiquette.
