One of the relatively important and well-known products of Iran in the Islamic era is various glass containers and works. Due to the relatively easy availability of raw materials and uncomplicated manufacturing conditions, glass has been one of the common but not very expensive products of Iran during this period. Based on this, it can be seen that in this land, these works were mainly built with the purpose of practical use and not as a luxury and ornamental aspect. The thing about these containers is the little and limited knowledge about their production centers; Except for a few known centers, there is not much knowledge about other production centers of these works. Based on this, the questions are always raised whether the land of Iran was one of the main centers of glass production in different Islamic periods or not? And in which centers, what kind of products and with what scale or volume? According to these questions, the main goals of the current research included the investigation and identification of different production centers of glass containers in Iran in the Islamic era, as well as the approximate knowledge of the possible types and volume of productions of these centers. According to these goals, the current research method is descriptive-analytical and the method of collecting information is mainly based on library sources. As a result of this research, it was found that glass containers were produced during different Islamic centuries and in many centers. But in the meantime, centers such as Nishapur, Jurjan and Sirjan were engaged in the production of glass works on a large scale and with a variety of different forms. However, the production of some centers such as Ardeshir-Khore and Bishapur has been on a small scale and includes the specialized production of some containers such as perfumes.
